Meetings
Cultuurnetwerk Nederland regularly organises study days, debates and conferences, some of which take place in cooperation with similar organisations. For example, the Day of Arts and Cultural Education is held once a year for employees of cultural institutes, with many keynote speakers and workshops. There is also an annual conference on research into arts and cultural education, with presentations on new research and excellent opportunities for coordination and cooperation.

Publications
Cultuurnetwerk publishes various periodicals, papers and other documents, ranging from Cultuureducatie Actua, a bi-weekly digital newsletter featuring the latest news from the sector, to the Cultuur + Educatie series, which thoroughly examine one theme from arts and cultural education in each issue. Websites
Cultuurnetwerk maintains various important websites for Dutch professionals in arts and cultural education.  One of these, www.cultuurplein.nl, is a portal about school and culture and is created in collaboration with all the other national institutes working in the field.

Advice and support
Cultuurnetwerk Nederland is familiar with the practical problems that organisations encounter and has good examples from actual practice. To provide the best possible advice, Cultuurnetwerk works closely with experts in the field. Its advice may consist of a recommendation on policy or organisation, project support, and organisation of the content of meetings.

Research
Cultuurnetwerk Nederland aims to promote academic interest in and research on arts and cultural education. In that framework, Cultuurnetwerk seeks to facilitate cooperation and exchange among researchers in order to prevent fragmentation in research. Cultuurnetwerk has endowed the extraordinary professorship in arts education and cultural participation at Utrecht University, which makes an important contribution towards achieving these goals.
